Trump Says FDA is Delaying Virus Vaccine to Hamper His 2020 Reelection Bid

The mainstream media will call him paranoid, but Trump’s concerns don’t seem all that misplaced in a year where political malfeasance runs rampant.

There are no shortage of ways in which the clandestine American Deep State can hurt you, and President Donald Trump isn’t afraid of calling each and every one of them out on a global scale.

Trump rode into Washington DC flying the flag of We The People, and promising to “drain the swamp” of career politicians who seek only to enrich themselves.  This is, of course, an incredibly popular stance among Americans who are distrustful of their government on the daily.

The President’s latest concerns regarding the so-called “Deep State” are unique, however, as they take aim at one of the most non-partisan agencies under the Big Government umbrella:  The FDA.

Human trials for a COVID-19 vaccine are currently being carried out around the world in a bid to stamp out the pandemic, which has killed 800,000 people worldwide so far, including 174,000 Americans.

No vaccine has yet been produced that has passed all the safety checks necessary to roll it out in the general population.

But Trump claims that the FDA is trying to block efforts to immunize Americans until after the November election where his handling of the pandemic is a key point of discussion.

He tweeted: “The deep state, or whoever, over at the FDA is making it very difficult for drug companies to get people in order to test the vaccines and therapeutics.

Why does Trump believe that the FDA is engaging in this sort of behavior?

“Obviously, they are hoping to delay the answer until after November 3rd. Must focus on speed, and saving lives!”

And while the claim may seem a bit outlandish, Trump has routinely accused his political opponents of stalling progress on a number of fronts as the November election approaches.  The FDA is just a latest to fall into this pattern.
