Trump Slams Impeachment Hearings as ‘Boring’, Says He’s ‘Too Busy’ to Watch
Trump’s flippant nature is surely irking a great many Democrats.
Despite the fact that much of the nation is now mired in impeachment mania, President Trump has decided to simply play it cool.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has already stated several times that any impeachment trial within the Senate would be “swift”, undoubtedly alluding to the Republican majority in the chamber and their ability to quickly send this entire process to the waste bin with a vote. As such, President Trump sees no reason for concern.
In fact, his mindset was so nonchalant that Trump himself didn’t even bother to watch today’s public hearings.

“I’m too busy to watch it,” he said. “It’s a witch hunt, it’s a hoax, I’m too busy to watch it.”

He commented that he had heard that Democrats were using “television lawyers” to question the witnesses at the hearing.
“I’m not surprised to see it, because Schiff can’t do his own questions,” he said.
Trump was referring to former MSNBC legal analyst Daniel Goldman, who Schiff recruited to conduct the examination of the witnesses Ambassador Bill Taylor and Deputy Assistant Secretary George Kent.
White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham called the hearing “boring.”
“This sham hearing is not only boring, it is a colossal waste of taxpayer time and money,” she wrote on Twitter.
Of course, given the Senate’s inevitable scuttling of the entire “sham” process, the content of these hearings will likely have no bearing on the future of Trump’s presidency or on his reelection campaign for 2020.
The President’s insistence that he is “too busy” is also a thinly-veiled slight against the Democrats, who the Commander in Chief has repeatedly accused of holding the nation hostage with impeachment, as they have done very little in way of legislating during this process.
