It would be both foolish and flippant to ignore the biases of the mainstream media.
While CNN And Fox News both like to tout their “facts first” or “fair and balanced” reporting, they aren’t really fooling anyone. In truth, it has begun to get more than a little offensive the way that these networks patronize us, pretending as though We The People don’t know the deal.
Fox News is the clear favorite of President Trump, who has repeatedly invited host Sean Hannity to speak on stage with him.
Now, however, the President’s feathers have been ruffled by Fox in their treatment of 2020 democratic hopeful Bernie Sanders.
President Donald Trump tore into Fox News on Tuesday for its town hall with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
In a morning tweet, the president weighed in on the hourlong town hall with Sanders, which aired on Monday night — even taking aim at Fox News anchor Bret Baier, one of the event’s moderators.
“So weird to watch Crazy Bernie on @FoxNews,” Trump wrote. “Not surprisingly, @BretBaier and the ‘audience’ was so smiley and nice.”
The Commander in Chief went on to also question the network’s hiring of former democratic strategist Donna Brazile, who infamously funneled debate questions from CNN to Hillary Clinton ahead of her performances back in 2016.
And while Trump’s rage wasn’t all that surprising for him, it doesn’t quote promote the ideals of American freedom of speech, specifically in regard to “news” networks.
