Trump’s Comments on J6 Evidence Release are POWERFUL

BOOM!

With Donald Trump back on the campaign trail, and currently enjoying his time as the presumptive 2024 nominee for the Republican Party, the fervor in Washington DC is beginning to tune itself to a whirring hum.  On both sides of the aisle we find activity meant to impact the former President’s chances of being reelected, with the headlines often see-sawing from week to week as to whether or not the news behooves The Don.

The left has certainly attempted to get their digs in, particularly through the January 6th select committee’s made-for-TV sensationalism.  At the end of the hoopla, they even had the audacity to send criminal referrals to the Department of Justice alleging a number of potential crimes by the former President.  Now the Biden administration has that card in their back pocket…or at least they thought so.

Because only a few week later, after the GOP took control of the House of Representatives after the 2022 midterms, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy released 40,000 hours of footage of the events to January 6th to the media – specifically Tucker Carlson.  When Carlson presented what he saw in those images, a stark disparity between the footage and the official story began to emerge.

This week, Donald Trump himself weighed in on the reality of having that footage released.

Trump, for his part, was very pleased with McCarthy’s move. In an interview late last week focused mostly on his new forthcoming book Letters to Trump, the former president praised the speaker profusely saying his decision was “fantastic” and “brave” and would go down in history as one of the most important things McCarthy has done as an elected official.

And also:

“I think it’s a fantastic thing he did. I think it’s a brave thing he did,” Trump said. “I think it’s one of the most consequential acts he’s done as a politician and everybody is very happy with him. He’s doing a wonderful job as Speaker.”

The DOJ has yet to act on the committee’s criminal referrals, and with each passing week, any future action against Trump looks more and more politically-motivated.
