The Democrats and the establishment Republicans who’ve been waiting impatiently for Donald Trump to go away are about to be very, very disappointed.
The former President is no longer able to use Twitter, and Facebook hasn’t yet decided on his fate on their platform, so there hasn’t been nearly as much of the Trumpian pot-stirring that we’re used to. Instead, Trump is reaching out to the nation the old-fashioned way, putting out statements to the press directly.
His latest is a doozy, and seeks to reaffirm what the MAGA Movement knew all along: The Don is still very much in charge of the GOP.
“No more money for RINOS,” Trump wrote in a statement sent to reporters. “They do nothing but hurt the Republican Party and our great voting base—they will never lead us to Greatness.”
The former president advised supporters to support his political action committee instead.
“Send your donation to Save America PAC at DonaldJTrump.com,” he wrote. “We will bring it all back stronger than ever before!”
Trump’s latest statement follows his cease and desist statement to the RNC, NRCC, and NRSC demanding they stop using his name and likeness to raise money and sell merchandise.
This appears to be a simple continuation of the sentiment that Trump expressed during a recent CPAC speech, in which he not-so-subtly suggested that he would run for President again in 2024.
