VIDEO: Ted Cruz Gets Trolled by Mariachi Band After Trip to Mexico

Cruz has repeatedly apologized for the trip, which he has called a “mistake”.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz is in the dog house with many of his constituents this week, and some are taking to high hilarity to make their point.

The complaints against Cruz came after the Lone Star State legislator boarded a plane to Mexico last week for a planned family vacation.  That in itself wouldn’t have made much of a stink in the media, but Cruz’s departure coincided with a massive humanitarian crisis in Texas, in which the state’s power companies botched a “rolling blackout” plan that was meant to keep citizens safe as freezing temperatures and wintry weather descended upon the normally balmy locale.

Cruz returned almost immediately from the trip, stating that he was hoping not to disappoint his daughters with the decision.

Some critics weren’t willing to take Cruz at his word, and now the lawmaker is facing the trolling of a lifetime.

Ted Cruz has been trolled with Mariachi band over his recent trip to Mexico while protesters have gathered outside his home.

Following the Senator’s trip to Cancun, angry protesters from the Houston United Front Against Fascism group gathered outside his home in Houston with banners, calling on ‘traitor’ to resign.

The moment was being shared via Twitter this week.

Cruz has repeatedly apologized, and characterized his choice to continue with his planned trip as a “mistake” that he would not make again.
