YAWN: Fourth Trump impeachment push coming from predictable source

Here we go again…

Democrats sure have a hard time making up their minds, don’t they?

Party leadership has long claimed that they are in no way interested in opening up official articles of impeachment against President Trump at the current time, with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi now having put her foot down several times over the course of the last few months.

Jerry Nadler, Chair of the House Judiciary Committee, however, has take a slightly different and disingenuous approach, ensuring his constituents that he is undertaking an “impeachment investigation” – a bit of semantic gymnastics designed to quell the appetites of the liberal base, while still disobeying their rampant calls for an official declaration.

Now, for the fourth time, House Rep. Al Green is going all the way, introducing official articles of impeachment again this week.

Rep. Al Green (D-TX) will reportedly try for the fourth time to impeach President Donald Trump when the House returns from recess in September, according to a Wednesday NPR report.

Green has said Trump should be impeached for his “bigotry” and on Wednesday Green tweeted that Trump should be impeached after the El Paso shooting because he has “unleashed bigotry” that is “causing death and destruction within our society.”

“The President has unleashed bigotry. It is our duty to not only restrain and contain but also eliminate it. The genesis of doing this must be the impeachment of the person who unleashed the bigotry that is causing death and destruction within our society,” Green said.

Democratic leadership has long resisted the idea of impeaching Trump on purely political grounds, believing that a failed impeachment would lend the incumbent the upper hand during the 2020 election.
