YouTube Completely Bans Pro-Life Channel in Latest Conservative Purge

The culling of the conservative viewpoint continues.

The way in which human civilization interacts with the internet is still evolving, and there are some major points of contention that have suddenly come into play, largely as it pertains to the freedom of speech.

We are guaranteed a right to free speech here in the United States, and in much of the civilized world as well.  It is truly our duty to let our voices be heard, as this helps us work toward a more diplomatic society in general.  The issue now is that the internet, inarguably the most powerful tool that the First Amendment has ever known, has seen it’s sharpest points and most potent platforms embrace a sort of one-sided censorship that defeats the entire purpose of the First Amendment.  Private owners are deciding what will be broadcast to the masses, and they’re eliminating any viewpoints that they don’t personally share.

The latest example of this comes from YouTube, where a prominent pro-life channel has been removed arbitrarily.

YouTube has permanently banned LifeSiteNews, a popular pro-life news outlet with some 314,000 subscribers.

LifeSiteNews editor-in-chief John-Henry Westen told the Catholic News Agency (CNA) that YouTube did not provide “a specific reason for the deletion of the account” and there was no way to appeal the decision.

“Our best guess is that the channel was taken down for our frank and factual discussion of the controversy around abortion-tainted medicines and vaccines,” Westen said. “The origins of these vaccines and their association with abortion is acknowledged by the vast majority of scientists.”

“Prior strikes were given for speaking the truth about COVID [coronavirus] lockdowns and the presence of aborted fetal cells in the vaccines,” he said.

Billing itself as the “#1 pro-life news website,” LifeSiteNews was founded in 1997 as a non-profit online news service.

The news made a major splash within the conservative media, with even Fox News’ Tucker Carlson railing against the move, stating that Google, along with a number of other major corporations, support abortion.
